2. This is what happens when instead of voter suppression, we help everyone vote.

Same-day voter registration, automatic registration through the DMV, anyone can get a mail-in ballot, plenty of polling places with no lines, early voting at registrar's offices, and no hateful purging of minority voters.

Also CA does not allow paperless touch screen voting machines, except for disabled voters.

4. I have posts going back at least 10 years

predicting this. I figured it would take an election or two after my own kids and their peers began to vote. But, after living here most of my life, I knew it was just a matter of time.

The maggot brought it on sooner than even I expected. We really should let him and his supporters know how grateful we are for their help.

5. Orange County may as well have been called..

...red county for the longest time.

But things have been moving more progressive for awhile. Even Fresno County should be eyed upon eventually as the City of Fresno and sub-burbs are growing...which usually brings in more progressive voting patterns.

6. Actually, thank North Idaho for that

So many far-right people have moved from Orange County to the "American Redoubt," there was no way the county would stay as red as it was.
