That way, when people ask him how he could call Saudi Arabia a "spectacular ally" after what is heard on that tape, he can just say he never heard the tape.

How the feck does he know that, unless he heard it already? For someone who "has the best words," he doesn't cover his lies very well.

This is analagous to a serial killer resisting the knowing of a prospective victim's name to avoid humanizing the target and thus maintaining a minimum obstruction of empathy that would otherwise generate friction in the committing of acts known to be "wrong".

parents of the children killed at Sandy Hook but he did. That's what grown ups do. They do the hard stuff even when they don't "want" to. Because as difficult as it is to do they recognize it is infinitely harder for the person who experienced the loss. Damn I miss our President.
