The rest of the county is red, but as urban sprawl spreads into other counties, so do progressive voters.I'm in N georgia, north of Atlanta.

county, too, but couldn't get there. Best turnout for for the Democratic party, but still not enough to elect even one county comm. or school board member. BTW, I'm in N. GA, too. Gordon County. neighbor.

In a state where the black population is 30 %, Gordon County is about 89% white and 4% black. Historically, many parts of northern Georgia have been too dangerous for African-Americans to live.
I was raised in a similar area in SC.

A Dem in that role will be huge for voting fairness.
