Fox is not considered a news source at DU! Still the OP claims Trump will aid CA fire victims.

It is obviously an advertisement for Fox News, masked as a comical Opening Post

(43,085 posts)12. Yep. You got me.
If there is actual breaking news I want to post, I typically will post it in the appropriate forum, here being Late Breaking News.
My "Breaking News" gag is a desperate attempt at satire on my part that I've been inflicting on DU for years now. Most of them go over like a fart in the wind. If I'm lucky, however, I might get a chuckle or a "You got me!" out of it from some poor sap, and my day's work has been fulfilled and then and only then can I sleep well at night.
Basically, I'm spoofing local TV news "teaser" ads, promising some big story with "details at eleven."
The "attractive Fox News image" was literally the first result that I found when I once Googled "television news anchors" years ago, and I've used it as my "satire marker" ever since. It's some local TV news team out of God knows where (I think Boston?) but basically I wanted to show as generic and bland looking local news anchors as humanly possible, and those two seemed to fit the bill. Their affiliation with the Fox broadcast network is completely meaningless.
Over the years, I've attempted dozens of "Breaking News" stories, and crashed and burned at most. A small sampling:

Here, my hope was that the notion of a Donald Trump created "Rake Force"--riffing off of the Donald Trump created "Space Force"--that would waste $85 billion of taxpayer money would be easily discernible satire. I guess this was one of my misses.
Anyways, that's a detailed explanation into my "Breaking News" gag. So.....

This is extremely timely news and comments!
On second thought, let's find Trump-trolls and Freepers, who offer positive comments and recommend this Fox News advertisement

(1,244 posts)17. Here's some history for you. Catch up. It's a take on the "film at eleven" meme.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Film_at_11
"Film at 11" is a US idiom from television news broadcasting, where the viewers are informed that footage of a breaking news story will be screened later that day.
11 o'clock is the traditional time slot for late evening local news broadcasts in the Eastern and Pacific time zones of the United States, while the news comes at 10:00 in much of the rest of the country.
History
Television news gathering originally involved crews using 16 mm film (or, at lower-budget stations, Super 8 mm film)[1] that would be processed at the station and had to be edited before it could be aired. The time taken for this process meant that film of an early evening event would only be available in time for the late newscast.[2]
The purpose of these "Film at 11" promotions was to attract viewers and increase the program's ratings. However, news broadcasts were not counted in ratings during the time 16mm film was used in newsgathering and hence promotions typically took the form of "newsflashes" or "special reports" that conveyed the facts of the story.
The phrase entered popular culture in the 1970s, often describing ordinary or mundane events with an implication that the said events were being overly sensationalized, or as a short-hand expression akin to "tell you later."
