The GOP, in true Trumpian fashion, is now going after Adm. William McRaven:

Worth noting after recent comments: Retired Adm. William McRaven was reportedly on Hillary Clinton’s short list for Vice President in 2016.

He’s been critical of President @realDonaldTrump— even dating back to the 2016 campaign.

He’s hardly a non-political figure.

He's a Democrat. Unlike these stolen-valor Republicans, that means he speaks the truth with honor and courage.

Let's triple, and even quadruple, down on what little respect you have for people who serve in the miltary and the vets who have served this nation with courage and distinction.

Republicans don't bother to engage with the substance of his remarks; they just try guilt-by-tenuous-association.

Might I remind you that so were Marco Rubio, Ted Cruz, and another four score and seven Republican luminaries previously regarded as sane...

nice to know, but it does raise more questions: is that the official legal standard or the Fox News "standard", and is there a difference anymore?
