Thank you, from here in the Golden State.

(14,904 posts)Frisco is a town in Texas. Not California.
I shall quote from the (possibly apocryphal) imperial edict of Norton I, Emperor of the United States, Protector of Mexico, from 1872:
"Whoever after due and proper warning shall be heard to utter the abominable word "Frisco," which has no linguistic or other warrant, shall be deemed guilty of a High Misdemeanor, and shall pay into the Imperial Treasury as penalty the sum of twenty-five dollars."

(359 posts)No "Cali." No "Frisco."

(12,640 posts)My mom is 79; she's only an inch and a half shorter than she was at 29. She was an admin type pretty much all her life (lots of sitting down), but she was moderately active, liked to walk a lot and rode a bike to work for most of her 40 years of employment.
And she's got mild scoliosis.
All of my relatives ended up only around an inch shorter than when they were out of high school when they were in their 70's through 90's. They were also all from good Nordic, Finn, Germanic or British Isles stock. No matter how plump they ended up in life, or how sedentary they were - they all lost only about an inch. I've only lost an inch at around 60 - and that after a bad back injury that's got me permanently leaning to one side.
If Gov-elect Newsum is 6'3"-ish in normal dress shoes, then the tallest an "active all his life" Drumpf ever got was probably 6'- ish - rounded up and exaggerated just a bit.
Also remember - platform shoes that added an inch or two were all the rage in the 1970's, even in men's business attire. It would be easy enough for someone as vain as Drumpf to claim he was 6'3" in his youth, and no one would think twice.
