Ohio county GOP chair doubles down on Facebook post CA wildfires 'God's punishment to liberals

https://www.rawstory.com/2018/11/ohio-county-gop-chair-doubles-facebook-post-calling-wildfires-gods-punishment-liberal-california/

David Johnson, chairman of the Columbiana County Republican Party in Ohio, came under fire on Monday after he said that the deadly wildfires in California are “God’s punishment” to liberals.

Johnson posted an image of the fires on Facebook with text that read: “God’s Punishment to Liberal California.”

In a statement to WFMJ, Johnson defended the messages he posted on Facebook.

“California has been overtaken by liberals who have taxed and over-regulated the state,” Johnson opined. “There are changes that could have been made which would have helped prevent the deadly fires had there been proper management of forests, but the timber industry is not allowed. The firefighters and people’s lives should never have been put in jeopardy. They did not have to die and people did not have to lose their lives, homes, and everything they own.”

There are National Forest lands everywhere. Some of them even have harvestable trees. Others are just brushy hillsides, as in the Los Padres National Forest, where no forestry activity ever occurs.

But the Federal Government is responsible for management in all of them.

first, as the above poster mentioned, this blaze started on federal land.

second, the county impacted by the fire is Trump country.

third, we don't need to get into the true causes of the fire's widespread devastation because it's just dismissed as a 'hoax' from mouth-breathing, knuckle-dragging idiots like this.

There really is no hope for people like this. It's both alarming and hilarious that these are the people leading the GOP.

They watch Fox, listen to Rush, love their football 'cept for those uppity blacks who don't
stand for the anthem, go to church to worship a northern european white Jesus, work every
lever of voter suppression because blacks and liberals aren't real Americans, don't believe
in science, and fuck around on their wives every chance they get.
