Trump: Troops are "proud to be on the border" and don't need Thanksgiving because they are tough

Before the president headed to his Thanksgiving festivities at Mar-a-Lago, the president was asked about the thousands of troops who he has ordered to spend the holiday on the U.S. border.

“Don’t worry,” Trump assured members of the press.

Trump added that the soldiers are “tough people” who are used to making sacrifices.

“They are proud to be on the border,” he said. “They are proud to be defending our nation.”
