A reporter asked Trump as he prepared to depart the White House for his Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida who deserved to finish second for the designation,
telling the president he assumed who his choice for first would be.
"I dont know, thats up to Time Magazine," he continued.
"Ive been there before. I cant imagine anybody else other than Trump."
The publication earlier Tuesday released the results of a reader poll to pick the Person of the Year.
Trump finished tied for 13th with 2 percent of the vote ...
The president claimed in 2017, when he was named a runner-up, that he turned down the honor, though the magazine refuted his claim.

(6,973 posts)She is the ENGAGED millennial willing to put it out there and hit the streets, not just lament about the man and not vote. I really do think that she will be more effective than a lot of current House occupants. Linda Sanchez comes to mind. I think AOC is going to leave LS' rising star in the dust.
Nancy's preparing of the baton pass is very much a milestone in her own career. It won't end with her office. Nancy will move this country from the comfort of her back porch just sipping tea. Just like Hillary. Those women do more for this country just by breathing.

(13,776 posts)It really makes no sense to me. Sixty percent of the population--and more like 90% in the rest of the world--finds this self-importance disgusting. Yet his followers eat it up with a spoon and beg for more. Why? What's so appealing to them about a narcissistic blowhard?

(63,221 posts)would despise such a person, particularly if they were in a position of power over them. So why do they find these qualities so appealing in a president? I can't imagined wanting to spend five minutes in a room with someone who behaved the way Trump behaves.
