Here's How To Get TERM LIMITS For Supreme Court Justices.

This stuff about appointing Supreme Court Justices for life is ridiculous. But you can't impose term limits without a Constitutional Amendment, requiring two thirds of both chambers of Congress, and two thirds of the States.

Sounds impossible, right? Here's how to do it.

1. In 2020 a Democratic President is elected, with a Democratic majority in both the House and Senate. (A very likely scenario)

2. Bader-Ginsburg and Breyer, who have both been hanging on by their fingernails, retire, secure in the knowledge that a Democratic President will nominate liberal judges. That leaves two vacancies.

3. The Democratic President replaces Bader Ginsburg and Breyer with BARACK OBAMA and LORETTA LYNCH. Thanks to Turtleface McConnell, this will only take 51 votes in the Senate! Thanks, Mitch!

4. Having appointed two new Justices that drive 'conservatives' absolutely batshit crazy; dangle the Constitutional Amendment solution in front of them as the only way to (eventually) get rid of them (along with all the others).

Democrats in both chambers, and Democratic State legislatures will vote for the term limits because it's the right thing to do. Republicans will ALSO vote for the term limit Amendment because they can't stand the idea of Obama and Lynch being on the SCOTUS for the next 35 years.

What do you think?

I remember when McConnel’s evil twin Gingrich was giving speeches about his theory and plan that a republican controlled congress should simply impeach liberal judges because they didn’t interpret the Constitution to his liking.

I think we could rid the bench of most right wing, Kavanaughesque judges by simply checking their harddrives.

I would LOVE to see Obama on the Supreme Court if he’s actually interested.

I’m STILL angry that a civil rights giant like Thurgood Marshall was replaced by the self-loathing right-wing minion that is Clarence Thomas.
