Look at all the people the Saudis have put to death over the years. Look at some of the other countries that we have had relations with. We say nothing about the Saudis chopping off heads and other body parts, but now we suddenly care about a journalist?

The Saud family is an evil regime and we're selling them millions of dollars in weapons. I can't help but wonder about all of the families who lost relatives and friends to these barbaric practices that we have condoned all this time. What would they say about the sudden outpouring of grief from the U.S. and other countries over the death of Khashoggi?

2. This country has always looked the other way because we needed their oil. Pretty shameful.

But that doesn't give a pass to the Orange Fool and allow him to condone the slicing and dicing of an American resident trying to get a marriage license. Despite Don's blabbering, we don't really need Saudi oil now. We get most of our oil from Canada. He should be sucking up to Justin Trudeau . . . except, of course, it's unlikely Justin will provide funding to the Trump family the way the Saudis most likely do.

in his own self-interest. That's all Trump ever does. He's an orange reptile, as reptilian as his mentor Roy Cohn. The OP is really about this country's hypocritical dealings with other countries. We say we're for democracy but we prop up dictatorships. People get treated worse than farm animals in some of the countries we count as friends, and in some cases we sell them arms.

This is just the kind of thing that makes me wonder if there is any justice in the world. It's funny how we ignore atrocities committed by our friends and go to war with other countries for the same sort of actions. Of all America's flaws, I think the hypocrisy is the worst.

Not all Americans are all American politicians supported America's military, political, or economic relationship with Saudi Arabia. There are many people in the United States who have been calling for changes in the American-Saudi Arabia relationship for years. More than likely the majority of the people who are complaining about the journalist issue complained about the other bad actions of the Saud family.
