GOP sits back and enjoys Dem fight over Pelosi

BY MELANIE ZANONA AND JULIEGRACE BRUFKE - 11/22/18 06:00 AM EST

House Republicans are reveling in the messy fight for Speaker that is taking place across the aisle.

A few years ago, it was band of conservative bomb-throwers who sparked chaos in their conference with their repeated attempts to oust then-Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio).

Now, the tables have turned, as a group of Democratic insurgents are trying to deny Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) from reclaiming the Speaker’s gavel, even after she helped return her party to power for the first time since 2010.

“For those asking, Moulton is NOT on our payroll,” joked National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC) spokesman Matt Gorman on Twitter last week, referring to Rep. Seth Moulton (D-Mass.), one of the most vocal Pelosi critics.

Most people don’t care. There hasn’t been any real nastiness. Just mundane congressional jockeying.

manner, has things completely under control. This is why she has been the House leader in the past and why she will continue to be the leader. She knows the job and does it well. No contest!

I think The Hill means to say, “Nervous House Republicans are chewing their nails as Nancy Pelosi smoothly consolidates power, knowing that once she’s done with her remaining handful of opponents she’s coming for them next.”

Before we hand in our wish list of what will make our personal lives better, we need to remove the RU & Foreign decay from inside our governing body.

in his goal to overthrow our US govt, and focus more on what affects our daily needs, is suspicious.

Keep your eye on the ball.
We can have none of what was campaigned on, without FIRST getting the Putin and Foreign influence out of our Media, our gov't body.

Just as we will never move forward any Democratic platform without bringing to justice the likes of Gowdy, who held the door open for RU then sat still while our nation collapsed.

Putin's movement into the US is still active. It is incremental. One blow at a time like a battering ram to the gate.

Keep your eyes on this most urgent matter at hand & we will have that day when healthcare, environment, infrastructure, voter rights again can be successfully worked out.

Every legislator like Gowdy who once played and those who still play a role in Putin's coup on our govt needs to be dealt with before anything can be made better for our citizens.

The social media bots & trolling is still as active an influence as it was in 2016.
MSMedia that ushured in Trump & Foreign influence is still owned by the same people who made billions in their method messaging.

The 1st and only issue at hand is addressing what broke us.
Russian Influence and its Media Messaging.

Gowdy, Nunes, Ryan, McConnell & all those who braced shut the front door to Democracy while Putin & his foreign crime syndicate troops ran in through the back door are still in place and are still our biggest threat.

Be suspicious of anyone who says, 'enough about Russia, lets' talk about our wish list.

Russia & the same corruption that brought us to this point, is STILL here.

That should be the unifying message every pol in DC & voice in media should be making that clear.

@JenKirkman: "Without the investigations we have no democracy where we can get to work on healthcare. The GOP is in bed with Putin. It’s the most alarming moment in history"

We are talking about one of the most influential positions in the US, and across the globe. It’s one area I always welcome a challenge and feel what we are currently seeing to be pretty tame. Most likely because of the great influence of Pelosi.

I’m glad she won last time as a more conservative member of our party was the front runner. Interestingly enough, most of his public support last time was from people claiming to be to the left. It was a really shoddy run against Pelosi with backing from a lot of dishonest elements.

Make a run at her from the left. I’m good with that. Make the best run against her possible. It should be contested at this point in time. That said, it really seems there is little real and organized opposition.
