Pastor who railed against gun-free zones shot woman in the head after she refused sex with him: police
A one-time pastor in Missouri known for going on social media rants against gun-free zones this week was arrested after he allegedly tried forcing three women to have sex with him and shot one of them in the head after she refused.
USA Today reports that police say 53-year-old Thomas Bruce this week went into a Catholic Supply store, drew a gun, and forced three women working there to go with him into a back room.
After they went with them, he ordered them to perform deviant sexual acts on him, police allege.
One of the women refused to give in to his demands, which was when Bruce allegedly killed her with a shot to the head. This prompted the other two women to begin complying with his requests, and Bruce eventually fled the scene.
Police arrested Bruce on Wednesday and charged him with murder, sodomy and kidnapping.
According to USA Today, Bruces rants about gun control had continued right up until the time he allegedly kidnapped the three women.
Just last week, for example, he called for abolishing gun-free zones on the grounds that we should stop expecting criminals to follow the rules.

(12,618 posts)who's ever spent time around gun fetishists. Scratch a gun fetishist, you will very quickly find a racist, a misogynist, a criminal, or a combination of all of them not far beneath the surface.

(14,856 posts)He wasn't trying to have sex with her. He threatened her with a gun and tried to RAPE her. She resisted his attempt to RAPE her, so he murdered her. After that he did not make "requests" of the other women. He RAPED them.
We have to take control of the narrative, or things like this get more and more normalized.

Schmidt also was artistic, helping refinish the Stations of the Cross artwork in the church and painting the Four Evangelists.
The only thing thats gotten me through this is that Jamie had such a beautiful voice that God needed her for the choir in heaven, Barbeau said, choking back tears. A lot of tragedy has happened all over, and you have to focus on the beautiful things.
Sheldon said she believes that Schmidt went to the Catholic Supply store after work on Monday to buy supplies for an art project. Sheldon said Schmidt was crocheting rosaries for the women in the parish group and may have run out of materials to include in the project.
So this beautiful soul was humble, reflective, introspective, and had spent her life developing inner strength and demonstrating love.
How about you, mr. big shot emotional midget with a gun? Were you ever reflective, looking inside yourself, wondering what can I do to make this world a better place? Oh yeah, you opened your mouth to rail against gun control. That was your idea of making the world a better place. Who was the strong one?
This is toxic masculinity. This is not just a sin. This is evil. Possibly this is also a symptom of a sick culture where too many men make it to adulthood with severely stunted emotions brimming with anger or entitlement or hatred. Why is our society so very unsuccessful at tamping down the development of such malignancies?
