Tragic news of soldier's death in Afghanistan
We learned yesterday of the tragic death of the 25 year old childhood friend of our family's in Afghanistan. He was an Army Ranger - living his dream for himself. Leandro Jasso was his name.
He was a beautiful boy. He discovered himself in the military and excelled. His parents are pacifists, so, difficult all around.
His parents and brother will be demolished by this. All sensitive, bright people with complicated stories of their own. We will do what we can to help them survive this, knowing it will never be enough.
