I hope you feel better and don't have other issues. I have had food borne illness before, once really-really bad for several weeks (I think that I ingested parasites and it took my body a while to deal with them. No fun being in a meeting and having to excuse myself while hoping that I make a toilet before I pooped myself).

The bagged ones looked terrible so I bought a butter lettuce plant in a plastic container. At least it tasted good. Tomorrow I need to check other grocery stores. This is a nightmare for stores, distributors and farmers. Heads in govt should roll over this.

I think if the temperature is over 160F for a while it kills bacteria. Supposed to be classic French dish but my Slovak grandma made it too

That is, if you like soup, figure there's nothing wrong with your romaine otherwise, rationalize it by thinking it's the same as cooking a turkey to a safe internal temperature, and can't bear to pitch something you already paid for
