The Republicans, seeking "revenge" for how Trump was treated, will try to do the same thing to the new President, and will be trying to manufacture fake scandals literally every day. I predict it's going to be a never-ending wave of Jacob Wohl style (aka "amateurish&quot attacks, which make big news when they're announced and then are shot down as laughably fake a day or two later (with much less fanfare).

Trust me, there will be daily attacks on the new President, and it wouldn't surprise me if Donald Trump is the one leading the charge (if he isn't in prison, that is). He'll make up some new scandal just like the "birther" thing for whoever is in office. If he's not in prison, he won't go away. He'll make as big a nuisance of himself as he possibly can. Which is yet another reason why I hope that fucker never breathes free air again.

the media and those who watch this stuff might not have become addicted to constant news "events." If so, those appetites would certainly provide a market for what you describe.

Trump's election was bad for a lot of the right wing swiftboating industry. Judicial Watch alone bragged of having 5 new "scandals" all designed, developed, and ready to launch (presumably mostly one at a time) when Hillary was elected president. They've tried to keep busy, but their brand has largely been abandoned for Trump's. Before Trump, the 24/7/365 political networks needed to suck that stuff up to fill time, though, and will again after Trump presumably.

Throw turdball after turdball, hope some fleck of it sticks. When the rest just sloughs off and collects into a pile at the feet of the Democrat, generating a great fogbank of steam, they will point with alarm at the cloud and say "Y'know, where there's smoke..."

The man is one, long obnoxious joke who lies about everything. Just report live from the circus and interview some fucking clowns for all this idiot is worth. The circus would be more entertaining.

I didn't check the news every single damn morning to find out what completely outrageous thing he'd done in the early hours of the day before I was awake. Sometimes he could go for several days at a time without doing something jaw-droppingly appalling or embarrassing. Trump can't even make it through a single day without doing or saying something so off the wall that it makes you wonder how he can manage to zip his own fly.

It's popular to suggest that the latest horror must be a distraction from something. But when everything is a distraction, nothing is a distraction. What we're experiencing is a non-stop shitshow of evil.

for all his slick salesmanship and positive thinking, trump is just not very good at manufacturing reality.

the caravan is a perfect example. converting the normal migration of peons into a mass invasion of terrorists and gangsters was a step too far. his team was unable to deliver a credible invasion.
