The Biggest Reveal: Mueller Knew Manafort Was Lying and WHY

Truths, lies, half-truths, and all the shades between... each one is revealing to frame of mind and context. Mueller knew when Manafort was lying, what it was about, and now he know’s why. Thanks Manafort for being the predictable chump you are. When you know a supposedly cooperating witness is lying and why, it gives you the keys to the kingdom in taking apart the criminal organization as a whole. Mueller can now prove frame of mind, motive and intent. It is also revealing that Mueller’s case against Trump’s crime organization is based predominantly on concrete evidence, not on any shady testimony that Trump’s goons would provide.

in Ukraine. Hard to outsmart Mueller's team when you're locked up.

He must be really afraid of what waits for him from Putin if he rats out trump.

Good luck with that pardon wish but trump will throw his ass and everybody else's under the bus to save himself.

Maybe he'll save the czarina, hoping he'll finally get to...

Flynn, Cohen, others who have already cooperated may have known about lines of communication between the Trump campaign, and perhaps Trump himself, and Assange and Russia. It could be that Trump himself doesn't know that they knew about those communications. If Mueller has them, in writing, Trump is screwn.

His Lawyers: WHATEVER YOU DO, DON'T LIE! You'll be in big fucking trouble if you lie! Don't do it! SAY IT! Say I WON'T LIE!

Mueller's team: Look at what you're signing, Paul. Read it carefully. You must cooperate in all ways, and above all YOU CANNOT LIE! EVER! Read it and tell us you understand everything. Especially the part about lying.

Manafort's wife: Paul, don't be an idiot like usual. You can't lie to these people. It's a crime. You could spend the rest of your life...wait. Maybe you should lie.

Manafort: I can get away with it. They'll never find out. I'm smarter than...

They have enough already to know when Manafort was lying, what it concerned and why.

Information is revealed when a suspect lies and this information can be as useful if not moreso than testimony.

You nailed it. Meuller also forced Trump's hand on the written questions and, I'm sure, confronted Manafort with Trump's responses, which were more revealing not knowing why Meuller got his deal.

Also, there is about zero doubt in my mind that there is some video/photographic evidence that Manafort entered the Ecuadorian embassy on several occasions. Assange is no journalist and Manafort is no civil libertarian in London to support Assange's claims of persecution.

I can't wait! The conclusion is almost crystal clear. The story of a president compromising American foreign policy in exchange for financial gain and covert election assistance.

Because he expects a pardon from Trump, Manafort felt free to lie to investigators while also acting as a “mole” for Trump, feeding him information about what he falsely told Mueller, according to national security journalist Marcy Wheeler, writing on her Empty Wheel site.

As a result, Trump’s written answers to Mueller’s questions, which Trump submitted last week as CNN reported, are likely to be “full of lies,” Wheeler wrote.
The journalist, who herself has given information to the FBI in the Russia case, according to the Washington Post, wrote that “Mueller’s team appears to have no doubt that Manafort was lying to them. That means they didn’t really need his testimony, at all. It also means they had no need to keep secrets — they could keep giving Manafort the impression that he was pulling a fast one over the prosecutors, all while reporting misleading information to Trump.”

But deceiving Trump into, in all likelihood, parroting Manafort’s lies in his written answers to Mueller — which would also serve as evidence that Manafort was acting as a Trump spy within the investigation — Wheeler says that Mueller has now given himself an opportunity to air his collusion evidence in open court.

Mueller has proposed a way to put Donald Trump, and the facts about Donald Trump, on trial without the slightest chance of executive privilege being asserted, successfully or unsuccessfully. And Manafort, thug that he is, fumbled and crime'd himself right into this trap.”
