Someone who studied and treated people suffering from personality disorder of narcissistic type say they often adopt a "look" in adolescence that copies some admired famous person and then continue it for life. Trump looked similar enough to Troy Donahue, who was famous when Trump was in his teens, however, to make me wonder if he might have identified with him.
