This is a modern quantum conundrum puzzle!
You lock Kitty into a tiny embassy with the intelligent but unpredictable and paranoid Hacker, and add some embassy staff whose diplomatic skills include general politeness and hygiene abilities apparently foreign to the hacker
Weary of cleaning up behind both Kitty and Hacker, the embassy staff eventually obtains an official okie-dokie to warn Hacker that they will donate Kitty to a nearby Home for Neglected Felines unless Hacker cleans behind Kitty
And then ... a mystery! Kitty disappears! Hacker says he set Kitty free for humanitarian reasons, but what does that really mean? Are Swedish Saudi-Arabian feminists behind the disappearance? Has Kitty been extradited to the US and executed there for treason? We do not know. Perhaps Bigfoot had Kitty for a snack!
The possibilities, however, are endless; and you can discuss the endless possibilities here, though probably not endlessly

(12,153 posts)According to Assanges legal team, his Ecuadorian hosts have also threatened to place his beloved cat in a pound. No doubt knowing the toll imprisonment and isolation takes on a being, Assange had his lawyers deliver the kitty to his family.
They will be united in freedom, wrote legal team member Hanna Jonasson.

(60,536 posts)It's about Assange and his life in the consulate; kitty has "disappeared," Assange has lost some weight, looks like hell, unkempt. He's not allowed outside at all... even though the consulate has a private courtyard. No internet, no media.
Sounds like a really swell life.

(25,532 posts)The cat is alive in the box or dead in the box. Looking into the box may change the outcome.
Schrödinger's cat: a cat, a flask of poison, and a radioactive source are placed in a sealed box. If an internal monitor (e.g. Geiger counter) detects radioactivity (i.e. a single atom decaying), the flask is shattered, releasing the poison, which kills the cat. The Copenhagen interpretation of quantum mechanics implies that after a while, the cat is simultaneously alive and dead. Yet, when one looks in the box, one sees the cat either alive or dead not both alive and dead. This poses the question of when exactly quantum superposition ends and reality collapses into one possibility or the other.
So: is Assange dead? Are Hillarys emails relevant? Does Orange Fatfuk go to jail?

(22,356 posts)The many-worlds interpretation is an interpretation of quantum mechanics that asserts the objective reality of the universal wavefunction and denies the actuality of wavefunction collapse. Many-worlds implies that all possible alternate histories and futures are real, each representing an actual "world" (or "universe" . In layman's terms, the hypothesis states there is a very largeperhaps infinite[2]number of universes, and everything that could possibly have happened in our past, but did not, has occurred in the past of some other universe or universes. The theory is also referred to as MWI, the relative state formulation, the Everett interpretation, the theory of the universal wavefunction, many-universes interpretation, multiverse theory or just many-worlds.
