Wisconsin's 4% margin more newsworthy to the MSM than Missouri's 1% margin

The Washington Post goes gaga about an oh-so-close 4% Obama lead in Wisconsin, while ignoring a SurveyUSA poll that would have made a great news story: the fact that Obama trails in Missouri by a meager 1%.

But Obama doing well in a state that should be Red does not fit the narrative these days; the narrative is: Romney is close, Romney is the man, Obama is in trouble, Ryan is Superman, Ryan is the Savior, etc.

If you go to a link called "in the news" within the SurveyUSA website (left side of the screen), the top result is a Democratic Underground thread started by WI_Dem. Not the NY Times, not Fox, not CNN. http://surveyusa.com/index.php/surveyusa-poll-results/

It's as if the Missouri poll had not existed at all.

and that doesn't mean that the Missouri story will not be used later. It's about the horse race for the media, not the issues.
