It will be explained to them that if they don't vote for her, Kevin McCarthy becomes Speaker. It won't be that a Dem will beat her. They never put up someone to run against her yesterday. Now it is between Pelosi and McCarthy.

that claimed she was in trouble for the speakership. It's expected that much of the media would push the "story," that's what they do. But some so-called progressives were also gleefully repeating it, as if there were a credible candidate opposing her.

Any other choice would tap into the Dems favorite pastime - weakening ourselves just when strength and savvy are needed the most.

The newbies need to be included on powerful committees to build the Progressive majority as they confront reality in the mechanisms of governing beyond inspirational speeches.
