While the Camp Fire has been extinguished, it may be months before people are allowed to re-enter the area and to gain access to their homes - assuming their home even stands at this point.
I'm about 2 hours north of Chico/Paradise. We have been battered with rain in the past week or so, and snow is due Friday evening.
Here is the weather forecast for Chico:

I cannot imagine what it is like for those in tents.
In case you have not closely followed this, the following numbers should put things into perspective. These are stats from CalFire as of Nov 24.
Structures Destroyed:
13,954 homes
514 commercial (includes at least 2 schools and a hospital)
Acres Burned: 153,336
240 Square Miles
Deaths: 84
Missing: 605
Residents Displaced: Around 52,000
If you don't know about the following pages, these are where fire status was reported and where evacuees are looking for help.

In that last one (probably also in the others) is a post where folks are invited to post links to "gofundme" or "amazon shopping wish lists".
As the weather cools and the rains fall, there are people who need something as simple as a jacket or a carport-style tent into which they can huddle and get out of the weather.
If you can spare a couple bucks, and help these folks, they desperately need it.
