Senate Judiciary Cancels Hearing Over Flake’s Stand
November 28, 2018 at 7:43 pm EST By Taegan Goddard

“The Senate Judiciary Committee cancelled a Thursday hearing on judicial nominees as Jeff Flake’s stand for a bill to protect special counsel Robert Mueller continues to wreak havoc in the lame duck session,” Politico reports.

“The panel was scheduled to advance six Circuit Court nominees, 15 District Court nominees and several bipartisan bills on Thursday to prepare them for possible floor action over the next month. But Flake, who is retiring at the end of this year, is holding firm to his vow to vote against judicial nominees on the floor and in committee unless Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) schedules a vote on the bipartisan special counsel legislation.”

Flake told CNN he doesn’t get why his Republican Senate colleagues won’t back his bill to protect Mueller.

Most likely many of them are involved receiving dubious campaign money whether its funnelled through the NRA or other means.

elected to the U S District Court for the Eastern North Carolina. The mere fact that he worked for one of the most notorious BIGOTS to ever live -- Jesse Helms -- should have disqualified him from consideration. This man has been responsible for enough voter suppression and disenfranchisement, going back to the 1980s, to make heads spin. He has written and pushed voter ID laws so heinous that it is a wonder Black people ever got the right to vote in North Carolina.

He is one evil S O B and that he is even in contention for this seat sickens me to my soul.

It will take a lot of heroes standing firm in defense of our republic to stop the republics from destroying our democracy.
