which is why the Attorney General of new York is the most important person in the country. Can't pardon out of state charges

the pardon will not stand. It is considered a crime, for instance, if he pardons to obstruct Justice.

The Constitution has this:

he shall have Power to Grant Reprieves and Pardons for Offenses against the United States, except in Cases of Impeachment.

Note the last 5 words. Precisely what it means seems to be somewhat unclear, but I would think that it means that a President can't pardon co-conspirators to avoid impeachment.

I think Trump could still be put on trial for obstruction of justice.

Some of these crimes are international in nature, say for example his merry band of henchmen defrauded German banks. How'd extradition to stand trial in a country where he can't game the system work?

And some crimes are international human rights violations, if the UN came knocking would we truss him up and send him on his way?

Flights of fancy, I know. Rambling again about things that even if he tried to pardon himself, would fall outside whatever delusional protection he thinks he has
