Leaked Kremlin Document Shows Trump and Putin to Meet This Saturday

Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump are due to rekindle their friendship this Saturday with a meeting at the G-20 summit in Argentina, according to a leaked Kremlin document.

The document, seen by Reuters, says the leaders are scheduled to meet for talks on the sidelines of Buenos Aires summit shortly before noon on Dec. 1. An unnamed Kremlin aide told the news agency the presidents will be discussing Syria, Iran, and North Korea as well as the relations between the two countries. The AP reports

Trump intends to keep his time at the summit as short as possible, departing Thursday and staying for two days to pack in eight high-level meetings with foreign leaders. Three unnamed current and former White House officials told the news agency that Trump dislikes foreign travel, so they have curtailed trips to his liking. To cut down on time, a meeting with Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe will reportedly be made into a “trilateral” when Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi joins them midway.
