Individual 2: Felix Sater
Russian Official 1: Kremlin spokesman Dmitri Peskov
Of note in this passage: Michael Cohen "briefed family members of Individual 1 within the Company about the [Moscow] project."
Cohen previously identified individual one as Trump.
"I made these misstatements to be consistent with individual 1's political messaging and out of loyalty to individual 1," Cohen said in court, according to Reuters.

(15,642 posts)Are we hostage to the perception of a key witnesses credibility here, or does Mueller have something beyond Cohen's statement that he did indeed mislead? My guess is the latter. Otherwise, why would Cohen have even considered a plea deal?
So -- will a judge and jury be convinced of Cohen's credibility and Mueller's evidence if and when the time comes for prosecuting other criminal charges against other individuals? We know that the GOP controlled Senate is neck deep into this crap and will latch onto every opportunity to discredit anybody and everybody related to the Russia investigation. That leaves us with a jury. Can we count on that? A jury?
