When the Trump Tax Hike becomes evident to most people in the January to April 2019 time frame, rage against Trump and the Trumpublicans will soar to new heights.

And when Mueller reveals (directly, or through a variety of "dead-hand" automatic triggers) the full extent of the Trump Organization's treason, there will be blood in the streets.

The only question is whether we will be in a recession or a <2% growth GDP environment.

Yet he was easily reelected.
So I wouldn't read in too much to the midterm losses for Republicans which is not unusual for a president's first midterm election.

When Mueller reports/indicts, when the Trump Tax Hike takes effect, and when exports grind to a halt, voters will be angrier even than they are now.

I do think this and other matters make it less likely he will run/win in 2020.

Some adults are going to finally explain to him that there is no way out other than some arrangement that includes a resignation. I still lean towards a "no fault of my own"-type reason like a "classified health issue". He knows that given his age, HE would never see jail. But the kids. That's the wild card here - What does he do to try to save the kids.

GOP leaders know that despite what Trump said, his endorsement wasn't a good thing if you were running for re-election as a Republican in 2018. Trump endorsed mostly safe GOP candidates, but of the vulnerable ones, a Trump endorsement was a kiss of death. The candidates he backed in competitive races got beaten.

A recession or a significant slow down is assured. The scandals are only going to get worse. The second the GOP decides they are better off impeaching him than running with him they'll turn on him.

until they aren't. I'll bet money those conversations are going on now, counting those whose re-election is in peril. Donald Trump's efforts via rallies and verbally supporting candidates, was that about 75% of them lost. Mia Love was pretty vocal about it. Many requested he not come to "help".

So, I'm guessing that there is nothing to shore up the political troops...and his daily unhinged rantings are laughable.

I'm thinking Nixon visits him in his dreams...Howdy, Partner.

And the artificial injections into the economy are going to make the fall even worse. Who the tariffs don't sink, the economy will...maybe both, as it refers to the Midwest.

With the way he’s cracking now, there is no way he can keep himself together much longer. He will either resign, get sick, have a mental breakdown or die of natural causes soon. His lifetime scam is collapsing and with it, so will he.
