NEW MOVEMENT needed: We Are the Eight Percent.
I'd like to see a new movement begin, people disenfranchised by Republican voting suppression laws. A name like "We Are the Eight Percent" would place particular emphasis on the magnitude of what was done in many states. In some cities it is more like 15%, and the public needs to be exposed to this problem if we are to turn the situation around and re-enfranchise those who got cut off. There needs to be a ton of attention on this problem before people get to the polls and find they are non-eligible. A secondary aspect of this movement ought to be attention focused on voters being removed from the voter rolls. Every citizen needs to verify if they are still eligible before their local voter registration deadline!
A great place to begin is with images of the people who lost their right, people holding up signs expressing their personal story and dismay.
