Ted Nugent isn't the only pile of excrement masquerading as a washed-up rock musician.....

Megadeth frontman Dave Mustaine has attempted to clarify his comments after he accused US President Barack Obama of "staging" the recent shootings in Aurora, Colorado and at the Wisconsin Sikh temple, but has refused to apologise.

The singer was performing with his band last Tuesday (August 7) in Singapore when he delivered the bizarre rant against the president, who he said was trying to secure new laws to control gun ownership by staging the shootings.

Speaking in a fan-shot video, which you can see at the top of the page, Mustaine also said that he believed the United States was "turning into Nazi America." ...................(more)

I mean, I've heard "Cat Scratch Fever" by Nugent but I don't know if I've heard anything by Megadeath.

Then again, I totally skipped over the whole 80s hair metal scene, so maybe I'm missing something.

Peace sells but who's buying? Killing is my business? Symphony of Destruction?

My brother was big into 80's/90's metal and it was all I listened to for awhile. At least in middle school and high school. Slayer, Megadeth, Metallica and Anthrax. I don't know Megadeth's newer stuff but back in the day Dave Mustaine was more of a liberal. Then he became reborn again to get over his various drug addictions. And of course, he lost his mind.

But like I said, that wasn't really my genre. Didn't really start listening to rock music until the 90s alt rock scene.

Gene Simmons, Sammy Hagar, Alice Cooper, Dee Schnieder... probably more. I think guys like that are trying to make up for their shenanigans or something. It seems like a lot of the most historically notorious individuals at my class reunions have turned into RWers.

I think Nugent is genuinely washed-up. A total has-been, just like Dave Mustain.
