Trump was susceptible to blackmail by Putin because Putin might reveal a business deal? BULLPUCKY

Watching Chris Hayes (and others), the consensus seems to be that Trump has been afraid that... ooooh.... Putin might reveal to the world that Trump was trying to make a deal for a hotel in Moscow during the campaign. You mean... he lied? I'm shocked... Shocked!

After the Access Hollywood tape, after mocking John McCain the heroic POW, after imitating a disabled reporter... we're really supposed to believe that what had Trump pathetically and obviously sucking up to Putin for his entire presidency was the fear that Putin might tell the world that Trump was actually trying to deal with him during the campaign when he claimed not to be?

BULL. PUCKY.

We all know--it's in plain sight!--that he's getting money from Saudis via his hotel, and that he's bending over backwards to excuse MBS's ordering of an assassination in return. Nothing is happening to him as a result. Why would Putin's revealing that Trump was dealing with Russia during the campaign after all be any kind of threat to him? After everything else he's done, it's nothing.

That is NOT what Putin has had over him all this time. No way.

Not that difficult to understand. When Trump's financials are made public, we will see that he was leveraged by Russia and Saudi Arabia. I hope we never again elect a President when we have no idea what his/her financial stake is with various countries and corporations in the world.

Totally understandable Putin had leverage over him.

and so did others, in public and/or under penalty of perjury. And Putin knew it.

That's leverage, absent anything else.

Pick your man
Compromise him -- now you own him
Get him elected
Leverage him -- because you OWN him

That was the Kremlin plot, and by gods it worked.

Russian sanctions by the US have been wrecking their economy. They want those sancrions gone in the worst way. And that is just the beginning.
