7. He was found guilty of crimes that are illegal in the states he committed them in

And Mueller secured a 175 page admission of the other crimes that could be used by states he committed them in.

Manafort really has no chance to fight the charges at this point. He is going to prison for a very long time, if not federal then state.

9. In the confession he made, he explicitly confessed to some state crimes.

It appears that Mueller included this so he could eliminate the possibility of Trump pardoning him for all his crimes. He hasn't actually been found guilty of those crimes, but the attorneys general of those states do have his admission of guilt.

I think you're wrong. A federal pardon pardons him for everything. A state pardon, if one exists, does not exonerate for federal charges.

10. The only reason for Manafot to go along with Trump

was a better deal for his family. He knew Trump's pardon could not help him in terms of avoiding jail. He's about 70 and his health is starting to fail him. He's effectively done.

If Mueller revives the mistrial cases and slaps him with more cases, that's more legal costs - even if he pleads guilty.

Mueller will probably up the ante and go after the house Manafort tried to give to his wife for $10 in October and any other financial assets he has to put more pressure on him.

That will put pressure on Trump to pardon him and/or get him some financial relief. The problem with Trump doing that is it improves the case against Trump for obstruction of justice. If Trump doesn't do something like that, Manafort could still turn on him because he sacrificed everything and Trump didn't help - he has nothing to lose and revenge to gain. That's how Cohen got to where he did.

11. I doubt he'll get pardoned if Trump tries to make him scapegoat for Don Jr. and Kushner

since Manafort was an experienced politico and campaign manager, I wouldn't be surprised if Trump ends up trying to blame him for the RNC platform change and the Trump Tower meeting and other collusion in order to deflect blame away from himself and the kids.

12. But real justice would be for that to be the fate of the Orange thingy

I fear we will not see real justice. I'd settle for America to wakeup and realize that the Orange PROTUS thing is a treasonous bastard.
