According to French officials, the French president told Mohammad bin Salman that he would insist on international experts being involved in the investigation into the death of Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi, which allegedly took place on the Saudi crown prince's orders. The conversation occurred on the sidelines of the G20 summit.
