Whatever you thought of GHW Bush, you can be reasonably certain that absolutely nothing

that is said about him will impact your life. He will be mourned by some and scorned by others. But, he has simply "gone the way of all flesh" and will, I am sure, be appropriately buried and his grave marked.

Meanwhile, the ranks of the militias, white supremacists and outright fascists are swelling. Unbelievably unqualified people are being nominated to the federal judiciary and influence is being openly peddled by our supposed "duly elected" leaders. Our planet's climate continues to be compromised by ignorance and greed and those not male white heterosexuals of the "correct" religious faith continue to be cast as "those people".

Ignore the 24/7 media frenzy about Bush's passing and concentrate on how many of his "points of light" the current regime is willfully extinguishing---for mere money.

No matter what any of our opinions were of him, he was a father, grandfather, great-grandfather and a friend who was loved and will be deeply missed by his family and those who were close. Any of us who have dealt with the loss of a family member might feel that memory tug of how painful that can be. I know that I sure do.

More than ever, we need to be able to multi-task on the events of the day.

Bush 41, his life, his service & his presidency is one thing.

Although we can draw lines to the past and his terms in office, what is going on today is quite another thing.
