We need a little outside help on this missing Tax Return thing....

We need the the Quaffed Crusader!

"I am really honored frankly to have played such a big role in hopefully, hopefully, getting rid of this issue. We have to look at it, we have to see is it real, is it proper, what's on it, but I hope it checks out beautifully. I am really proud, I am really honored." –Donald Trump, on President Obama releasing his long-form birth certificate

After all if he can take care of the Birther stuff - I'm sure he'll have no problem with the Tax situation...Hell Trumpster and Mittens probably hide their cash in the same places...

If we got outside help Romney might be forced to release all his tax returns.

If he did what might we find out?

1) He's rich and a member of the 1%. (We already know that.)

2) In all probability he had some good tax accountants who took advantage of every tax deduction available. (That's what such individuals get paid big bucks to do.) It is quite possible that he did absolutely nothing illegal.

3) He gives a lot of money to "charity."

I suspect we would spend a lot of time analyzing Romney's returns and while we might find a few questionable items, overall it wouldn't be worth the effort. It would simply prove that the rich get more legal tax breaks than the poor consequently both Romney and Obama will promise to eliminate these loopholes. Of course this will never happen as Congress is largely composed of very rich members and the poor members hope to eventually become very rich. Almost all members are bought and owned by the 1% who work and run Wall Street, the big banks that are too large to fail and multinational corporations. (Remember that many citizens make use of all the legal deductions available when they file their return and some even lie. I am far from rich but an accountant does my returns and I feel that he earns his money and saves me a lot of headaches. I also do not lie as I wish to pay my FAIR share but no more.)

Of course there is a chance that Romney is hiding something important. If so, he will never release his returns! The sad fact is that there are no laws that force him to do so. I personally would like to see a law that would require all candidates for an national office to release all their tax returns but that is simply a pipe dream.

It is my opinion that Obama can use Romney's tax returns as an important issue to pound Romney with. As long as Romney is foolish enough to refuse, Obama wins.

Be very careful of what you wish for. You might just get that wish. Romney's refusal to turn over those returns is a strong point for Obama. Romney finds himself in a deep hole at this time.

It is a good thing to follow the First Law of Holes: if you are in one, stop digging.

Let's hope Romney fails to follow this simple advise.
