(24,329 posts)I'd be curious if the organization that provided Sully would want him back or not. He's trained to be a service dog and I am guessing that training is not cheap

"The answer about the pups future came from KTRK Houston. The tv station reports that Sully will continue to use his skills as a service dog by working with wounded U.S. Veterans.
Sully, whose full name is Sully HW Bush, will return to America's VetDogs, an organization located in Smithtown, New York, that provides service dogs to "veterans, active-duty service members, and first responders with disabilities," the organization's website says.
Sully will reside there until after the holidays and then join the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center's Facility Dog Program.
While at Walter Reed, Sully will work with the facility dogs SGT Dillon and SGT Truman, KTRK says."
