1. One more factoid

The other related fact that I love is that Thomas Jefferson edited his own version of the bible to remove all miracles and references to divinity. He also cut away the gospels and revelations. What he was left with was the very secular humanist philosophy of Jesus.

I found this fact to be astounding and it flies in the face of what alot of people claim about the founding fathers.

To this day, I am amazed at how little known this fact is.

I was pleasantly surprised to see it on display at the Smithsonian this past spring.
