I had earlier read that Trump was going to visit with the Bush family at Blair House.

Trump spent less than a minute actually with the Bush family at Blair House -- and the total trip time from arrival to leaving was 18 minutes.

Family member called it "surreal" and that Trump didn't even wish condolences and just shook hands and left.

6. Because To A Sociopath, Other People Aren't Humans With Emotions

They're simply pawns to be used for the betterment of the sociopath. I'm sure it didn't even occur to him to offer condolences. They don't have feelings. They're simply the background for a photo op. And he didn't go for any other reason than he was afraid of being raked over the coals for NOT going.

When you start from the premise that he is a sociopath, literally nothing he does will surprise you.

9. Once again he bolts out of the limo, leaving FLOTUS to follow. Not an ounce of social skills.

13. Honestly, he could have stayed at the WH and the Bush family could have cared less.

I guess he had to act like he cared ... or something.

as close to "normal" behavior as we'll likely ever see.

And it STILL isn't "normal."

I was never a fan of Bush I and loathed Bush II, but I would still be able to wish the family condolences - especially if I were nominally "Head of State." I say "nominally" because Trump is NOT MY President.

15. Remember, the family did not ask him to speak.

He was likely seething over that insult, on top of all the other troubles that reportedly have him greatly distressed. Trump made the trip across Pennsylvania Avenue to Blair House, 250 yards, in an 8-vehicle motorcade including the stretch limo he rode in. (Bone spurs?)

I believe he does have a serious personality disorder and is unable to see himself as others do. Or to enter into their feelings in any other way. He cannot.

That "surreal" sounds like it's from actually seeing this bizarre president's disability on full display up close and personal. I had my own surreal moment the day before the Republican convention when I realized they really were going to put a mentally disordered man only one election away from the oval office...

You can't expect condolences to be expressed by a man who doesn't know the meaning of the word.
