I get the feeling trump* is listening with an ear to hear soft 'slams' headed his way

I know the Bush family requested that there be NO partisanship in the eulogies. None the less, it is so OBVIOUS that people are passively listing all of the ways GHWB, for all of his flaws, was everything trump* is not.

Very moving and funny. You could almost see some of the grief and stress melt off of the family.

It was wonderful, as a tribute. Any 'side effects' - well, what are you going to do? The truth hurts.

is a not so subtle insult to Trump. He’s that kind of guy. He’s that bad and pathetic.

Because it's patently obvious that he has absolutely no traits that any sane/normal person regards as positive, moral, etc.

all the praise of Bush has been his honesty, his humility, his closeness to family and them to him, his long loving relationship with Barbara, the mourning of the death of Robin and then Barbara and on and on. All these thing regardless of the man's political policies stand in stark contrast of tRump. No one has to mention his name, and I am sure that he is aware that he can not stand in Bush's presence.

because he can't be any other way, perhaps seething over not giving a eulogy (Brian Mulroney?!) and/or his legal problems. Everything's all about him. But he's the only one in that cathedral.
