(53,061 posts)On exploitation of the poor in developing countries
He had important positions in the Obama administration in the State Department regarding developing countries so he sold have covered a lot of the material in his job.
For the last couple of years he has been freelance and worked on a few stories but they all turned out to be huge.
The hard part is keeping up the discipline when you are no longer in a structured environment and have other things to do.
Very talented, very smart and very disciplined.
A national treasure.

(11,562 posts)While my sister was completing her Master's at Oxford in EconomicsInternational Relations, she became friends with a young woman who was in the same general program and received her degree with a Distinction - a big deal.
A bigger deal when you learn that she was concurrently getting a degree in Law. Her father was one of the 2 or 3 top lawyers specializing in international maritime law, so she was following in his footsteps.
I thought it was quite an accomplishment for my sister to get her full program at Oxford on 100% scholarship and bursary, but she said she felt like a bumpkin, because she was only fluent in 2 languages. The norm was 3-5, apparently.

Congratulations Dr. Farrow!

(61,692 posts)Frank and Woody are irrelevant, IMO. Mia Farrow gets the credit for raising such a remarkable young man.

(61,692 posts)It doesn't matter who his father is, and I don't think it is fair to his mother to make an issue of something that isn't our business.

(37,648 posts)Unusual for a rich kid from famous parents. He didn't have to do anything but go yachting and learn to play golf.
Impressive fellow. I'm sure Mia is proud.
