Dear gawd. It was all about massive plans for nuclear tech!! Russia/Saudi Arabia/et al. This is HUGE

For starters. And it’s even bigger

Plans to build up to 40 nuclear power plants across the Mideast. Saudi Arabia would have been the biggest power in the Mideast by far. Jared’s loans were his quid to the potential > $1 Trillion in construction costs for Mideast construction firms and access to nuclear technology

Listening to Proof of Collusion. It’s all in there!

it would be easier to sell the state-funded centralized solutions like nuclear that the dinosaur companies could use to move on from fossil fuels without a bunch of small scale decentralized (democratized) innovation in alternatives cutting into their power and profits and ability to amortize their investments in dinosaurs.

MIC intel around the world has probably been geared for reviving nuclear for decades and would want to use an idiot like trump

As the transition team does its work in December 2016, a small (if overlapping) group of additional Trump aides, associates, and allies—including Michael Flynn, Tom Barrack, Rick Gates, and Bud McFarlane—do a different sort of work: they lobby Trump to give nuclear technology to Saudi Arabia so that Russian companies and others can get billions of dollars in contracts to build nuclear reactors in the Middle East.

The proposal would “require lifting sanctions on Russia,” according to Reuters, to allow currently sanctioned Russian companies to partner with American entities to build reactors in Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates—the latter nation, too, because, under the terms of a deal signed many years ago by the United States, if the American government relaxes nuclear-weapon safeguards on Saudi Arabia, a “gold standard” clause from a past U.S.-UAE nuclear deal would ultimately entitle the UAE to enrich uranium as well. As explained by ProPublica, “Saudi Arabia needs approval from the U.S. in order to receive sensitive American technology. Past negotiations broke down because the Saudi government wouldn’t commit to certain safeguards against eventually using the technology for weapons. Now the Trump administration has reopened those talks and might not insist on the same precautions.”

i mean...dear f'n gawd!!

In January 2017, however, what the Saudis (and Emiratis) most want from Trump is nuclear technology—specifically, sales of same without a Section 123 Agreement prohibiting the Saudis from ever weaponizing their uranium. The opportunity exists, should the United States assent to these sales, for all parties to get what they want: the Trumps, as much as a billion dollars; the Russians, an end to sanctions; the Saudis and the UAE, nuclear reactors, an easing of Russian support for Iran, and the right to enrich uranium without prohibitions on its subsequent weaponization; Qatar, an end to the Saudi blockade, the favor of the Trump administration, and a very large—and likely to grow, should sanctions on Russia end—private stake in Russia’s state-owned oil company.

And all that material is carefully controlled, so it can't be smuggled out of the country.

That was the lunacy of the Uranium One deal that the rightwingers have been whining about for years. We DIDN'T sell all that uranium to Russia. The company was sold to a Canadian company owned in part by a Russian company. But all they can do is mine uranium in the US and sell it to American companies. It can't leave the country.

My understanding is that nuclear (nuculear) power plants use uranium. Plutonium can be produced by plants under the right conditions. At least that's my rudimentary remembrances of physics lessons long past.

look for the prices of oil and gasoline to skyrocket. I believe that Russia and SA have been keeping the price of crude down as a favor to Trump, another part of the Quid.

Russia and SA are glorified gas stations, they aren't going to keep biting the bullet keeping crude at $50 a barrel.

Of course starting a war with Iran would do the trick too.

Netanyahu is undoubtedly in there somewhere as well. The only thing that's stopped the Exxon boys from riding into Tehran on tanks is Putin.
