I meant for the suggestion to be there for "dememted" but wwas going for a more cartoon version, as though a person can be "dented," which of course he can if we mean mentally dented or with a dented personality, both of which are also suggested.

But yours is crisper, less literary, more direct, and therefore has a stronger impact. Nice.
