Trump's bold action on the economy (tariffs) will be enough to pin the state of the economy on him

He always wants to take credit. Him being so public about tariffs means that people can directly identify an action he took that changed things (for the worse)

They always come from the place that says, "It's always the Democrats' fault."

They will never blame Trump. We can't convince them. But, like we just did in the last election, we can outvote them.

Referring to affected farmers, business owners, people with 401ks and other investments. They can see the direct connection between trump and what's happening with their finances. He opens his mouth and the DOW plummets. They see that.

Otherwise it would be easy to identify the higher cost of the second one, due to Trump's tariffs.

I tried the tariffs topic on my Republican aunt a few weeks ago. She brushed it off without the slightest change of expression.
