Ryan releases tax returns for last two years
By Craig Gilbert
Paul Ryan and his wife, Janna, paid an effective tax rate of 15.9% in 2010 and 20% in 2011, according to tax returns provided by the Romney-Ryan campaign to the Journal Sentinel on Friday.
In 2010, Ryan and his wife paid $34,233 in federal taxes on $215,417 of adjusted gross income.
In 2011, they paid $64,764 in federal taxes on $323,416 of adjusted gross income.
A little more than half of the Ryans' total income in that two-year period came from the congressman's congressional salary.

That's nice, but where are Mitt's tax returns, and he needs to release them back to 2000.
Jon Huntsman Sr., longtime Romney backer, calls on him to release tax returns:
I feel very badly that Mitt wont release his taxes and wont be fair with the American people, Huntsman told me. In a reference to Romneys father, who pioneered the release of returns as a presidential candidate, Huntsman said: I loved George. He always said, pay your taxes for at least 10 or 12 years.

Trust Mitt: Releasing his tax returns would be "damaging" and policy details would be "suicidal"

To be clear, Ryan is lying. Mitt hasn't release a full year.

(43,085 posts)3. I can see it now:
The public: "We want the tax returns, Mitt"
Mitt: "Never!"
Paul Ryan (meekly): "Here, I have some tax returns. You want to see my tax returns?"
Mitt: "SHUT UP PAUL!!!!"
Paul Ryan: "Just trying to help....jeez!"

(653 posts)7. So this "BIG minded person" makes
$200,000+ to $300,000+ per year paying 15-20% taxes ... and Romney needs to give Paul and himself a tax cut.
How many more jobs would Paul create with a bigger tax cut on his $300,000+/year salary?
Under Bush, he didn't do such a hot job creating jobs.
Maybe that's just another "small minded" question.
"BIG minded" people are concerned with birther/Muslim theories which I guess are just too darn much for me to get my head around.
