(182 posts)Has an accused person ever acted more guilty? He's playing 100% to his hard core base. Everyone else, even non-hard core Republicans, has to see today's pathetic tweet storm as an admission of fear and insecurity and guilt.
He has a two track mind, the dominant track is saying I'm the smartest, strongest, most successful. The sublimated but still audible track is saying "They know I'm not that strong, smart or successful. They know I'm a fraud."

(52,183 posts)I don't think he actually believes he's the best at anything other than conning, bilking, tricking, bullying, lying, insulting, etc., and self-promotion (which is actually just part of the con).
He knows damn well it's all been a lie, his insecurity is obvious a mile away. That's why he needs constant and over-the-top praise and can't abide the slightest criticism.
