(15,328 posts)Then let's say he doesn't show up in court. Then what? Any cop or bounty hunter trying to arrest him and bring him in can legally be shot by the Secret Service.
So yeah "perhaps" he can be indicted. But there are no consequences if he doesn't show up, besides impeachment and removal.

(51,560 posts)tons of Americans will be protesting and calling their reps to get him out ASAP! The majority of Americans feel that if he is guilty he should be removed from office. The reps will be trying to save their own asses for reelection and will cave. We did it with the issue of Healthcare and this will be even bigger. His support is shrinking and this will only continue as more evidence comes out.

(15,328 posts)If he gets indicted, there will be demand for him to step down.
BTW, how much time passes between getting indicted and getting ordered to court?

(51,560 posts)Nixon was secretly indicted by the grand jury and the public didn't find out until much later. Perhaps this grand jury will do the same thing. I am not familiar with legal processes, I just heard this from MSNBC lawyers who were around when Nixon got nailed.
