That synergy was billed as a merger of equals. Turned out Mercedes Benz had different ideas and it was in charge.

In the synergy Putin planned between Russia and the US, he was to be in charge and his asset, trump, was to do as he was told (just give trump a good sum of money and he's happy). Putin on the other hand wanted much more.

Very scary when you think about it. Putin, a master of realpolitik, wanted synergy with the US. If that had happened, next was world domination. Europe, China—nobody could stand against such an alliance and Putin would have dominion over the world.

Good thing the resistance never let up and forced an investigation of trump's treason. Neither he nor Putin are getting away with it.
