Christie Says Prosecutors Have Evidence Trump Broke Law

December 9, 2018

Former New Jersey Governor Chris Christie (R) told ABC News that the language federal prosecutors are using to refer to President Trump in an indictment against Michael Cohen makes it sound as if they might have corroborating evidence that Trump violated campaign finance law.

Said Christie: “The language in the sentencing memo is different from what we’ve heard before. The only thing that would concern me if I was the president’s team this morning about this sentencing memo is the language.”

He added: “The language sounds very definite. And what I’d be concerned about is, what corroboration do they have?”

Sounds like he made a definite statement to distance himself from the whole mess. Maybe he will primary 45.

Might have to throw in an extra gravy tub, but that’s about it.

I think his final months as NJ governor ended his prospects for future elections.

Fair is fair. That's what the oranganus would do to ChrispieCreme if their roles were reversed. (Let's see, who's on top tonight?)

6. Please. There is no "if" about Mueller having corroboration.

I can't stand Christie, but he's not stupid. He knows that Mueller has it. Now these deplorable politicians have to walk that fine line between full-on jumping ship and keeping a tenuous grip on the side of the boat. Thoughts and prayers.

13. Yeah. Crisco's just like Cheeto but with none of the personality.

He would've been a perfect fit for a Trump regime AG - had it not been that he screwed Kushner's father over.

Not that Charles Kushner didn't deserve it; but knowing Crisco, being a big Dem donor was probably the real reason he went after him with such a vengeance.

10. Could Christie, Flake, Romney, and Kasich

be the core of the long-needed GOP revolt?

Would Gardner, Murkowski, Collins, Sasse, Colin Powell, Jeb Bush, and possibly Graham read the tea leaves to see that the Trump Dynasty will end badly? Will they unite to force accountability to save the party and conservative movement?

The six senators on the list could join forces with the Senate Democrats to force McConnell to allow hearings in the Senate and bring constitutional accountability to the President. The man is now a named conspirator in a felony...and the Justice Department has enough evidence to press charges, but for the fact that he IS President.

If the Republican Party is to survive, it must wrest control from it's radical fringe. There are still moderates out there. If they don't act, there is a real possibility that the GOP will lose all branches and wander the desert for a generation. The BLUE WAVE was a pretty good signal that without election process intervention, Republicans can not hold on. Statewide losses in Montana, Kansas, Nevada, and Arizona coupled with close calls in Florida, Georgia, Texas and Mississippi show erosion in the "Red Wall".

I can see the wheels coming off rapidly as the king-makers in the party see no future in red hats, lies, bigotry, and economic malpractice.

as soon as the knife edge is crossed from "donnie can ride this out", to "he's toast", the GOPee frauds who have been backing him, overtly or tacitly, or not saying anything will tumble out of the woodwork, having suddenly regained their "patriotism." They will then condemn him and put themselves up as the salvation of the party.

And the corporate media will have amnesia about their prior complicity and that of the GOPee former trump toadies.

They'll continue to hope to win if Democrats shoot themselves in the foot....and lets be honest, we do that a lot. The right wing doesn't think for themselves and buy the bullshit every time so they know they have that to rely on.

The way I see it, the GOP has three or four more election cycles where they can rely on the graying, bigots and racist base....and the current crop of politicians will ride it out hoping they can take advantage if we fuck up.

Some, like McConnell do see the writing on the wall, he's doing what John Adams did when the Federalists were about to go permanently out of power, pack the courts that will leave their influence for at least a generation. He knows that should the GOP survive, it will evolve and won't even resemble the party he knows.

Sounds so benign. They always do that on the MSM. Why not use what the OP title did. At least once in awhile. "broke the law" period. All of these...Russia only "meddled..." strings along Trump's deplorables with a little help from Hannity et all to back it up. And if his deplorables haven't given up on him yet, the GOP won't either.
