SHIELDS, Lenard Edward, October 27 1947-November 30 2018. Lenard Edward Shields could have died on January 15 from a massive stroke, but instead he had to defy all medical odds and become a Miracle Man. Not to be confused with a Soul Man, which was a title he already possessed from 50 years of healing people's feet. Plus, he loved to dance and loved falling in love, thus all the wives, so many we've lost count. He loved the magic of giving. He was Santa. Not only did he give at Christmas, but all year long either by offering rides to hitchhikers, money to the homeless, two dollar bills to anyone or polished stones to children of all ages. He was inappropriate, but always appropriate at the right time. He loved beautiful objects and most of all, amber. He collected it, leaving behind wonderful treasures for his family, wife, Saint Catherine (she gets honorary Sainthood for being the only wife who stuck around); .......and grandsons, Kivlighan and Everest. A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, May 11, 2019, from 3 to 7 p.m. All who loved him are welcome. In lieu of flowers, help the next homeless person you see or offer them a job "Think of all the joy you'll find when you leave the world behind." Safe travels Peter Pan. We love you and always will.

No idea. A buddy of mine sent me this. Yes it's real.

(47,534 posts)5. Possibly so everyone can be there.
Who knows, though. It does seem pretty far and pretty specific.

(15,181 posts)8. Well, if you live in northern climes, the ground is rock solid until May
Hard to put Lenard down. Besides it's a lot more fun to party among the wildflowers that I'm sure he loved.

wish there were/is a next world where he could continue being his special self for his own sake and that world's.
