You might want to check with local folks who have an interest in attending. Some Atticus Dec 2018 #4
NO! Why waste time and money going to DC when you can march locally? SharonClark Dec 2018 #6

But for now, I'm marching for a 3rd time in NYC.

Also if you need a pussyhat, I'm your girl.

folks who filled the streets and the Mall and what Charles Emerson Winchester would have termed "an air of utter civility" governed everyone's conduct. NO ARRESTS or violence at all. Just an all round great experience that set the tone for continued RESISTANCE.

Nothing like Trump hometown hatred. ARound the same turnout and no arrests.

I ultimately went to NY because it is a lot less travel time (3 blocks from a NJ Transit commuter train).

Last year's NYC march had some of the most creative signs that I've ever seen. I can't wait to see them this year.

ride shares are possible and some generous people who cannot attend sometimes finance a bus ticket or two for those in your situation. Our round trip tickets cost $185 each and we sleep(sort of) on the bus.

Also, there are "sister marches" in many cities throughout the country.

I'm sure the activists who are organizing in or near your area, at the grass roots level, would appreciate your support and attendance.
Having 100s of marches across the country allows potential activists to hook up where they are most effective.
