WP analysis: At the moment, not clear Nancy Pelosi has the votes to become Speaker

Unless this changes, this is catastrophic and remember the Democratic Rep who said a speaker showdown on the first day means we kiss our new majority goodbye? What’s the end game here and desired outcome here? I can only assume it’s to give Trump complete control of the judiciary, executive, and legislative branches come 2021.

This article is FUD. It doesn’t claim to know anything. There is no alternative running. I wouldn’t worry about it for now.

Doesn’t matter that Dotard doesn’t need the Dem base to be comfortable with him!

What a meanie she is.

I'd be curious to know what throwing control of the house to someone its Republicans helped choose would do to the careers of those Democrats who did that, but we'll never get a chance to find out.
And we can't guess from the past because it never happened then either.

The run at her from the right didn’t work out well last time. I still think it’s fair to at least have a debate about who will hold one of the most powerful political positions in the country.

10. Replaced with who? I haven't heard a single name mentioned as a potential candidate.

This sounds like a scheme cooked up and run by Republicans though I assume that's impossible.

Many agree that a change could be a good thing but only with the right person.
To just demand change without any specifics is suicidal.

I see it as more politics as usual. I do think it's a bad move without a name leading the way. I like Pelosi in the position.

There was at least a name last time around. Ryan has been talked about again. Few want to see a shift to the right in our party.

for Trump being re-elected. And I'm just some doofus in a small mountain town in deep red territory, so what do I know? But I think I'm right.
